About the Platform
What is AskToDermatologist?
AskToDermatologist is an evidence-based skin health information platform. It publishes dermatologist-reviewed articles and is preparing to launch a personalized, text-based Skin Routine Report built on a clinical framework designed by a practicing dermatologist with 15+ years of experience. It is an educational service — not a clinic, and not a substitute for medical care.
Is AskToDermatologist legitimate?
Yes. AskToDermatologist is operated by Gourpinar Healthtech Consultancy, registered in Cyprus (EU), and every piece of published content is checked against current AAD and EADV dermatology guidelines. Our medical reviewer works under an anonymous editorial byline — a deliberate choice: what we put our name behind is the standard of evidence, not a personal brand. You can read more about how we work on our About page.
Who writes and reviews the articles?
Every article is reviewed by a practicing dermatologist with 15+ years of clinical experience before publication. Claims are sourced to peer-reviewed literature and current AAD and EADV guidelines, and articles are updated when the evidence changes. We publish under an editorial byline rather than individual names.
The Assessment & Report
How does the Skin Assessment work?
You answer a short set of questions about your skin, routine, and goals — entirely in text. An AI system then generates your personalized report from your assessment responses, within a clinical framework designed and validated by a specialist dermatologist, and delivers it instantly. The assessment is launching soon; you can join the early-access list now.
Do I need to upload photos?
No — and that’s by design. The assessment is entirely text-based. We never ask for, collect, or store photos of your skin or face, and no biometric data ever touches our systems. This also means your report is based on what you describe, not a visual examination — only an in-person exam can evaluate how your skin actually looks.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. Your report is educational and informational only. It does not diagnose any condition, prescribe any treatment, or replace professional dermatological care. If you have a persistent, changing, or concerning skin condition, please see a dermatologist.
Is this a consultation with a dermatologist?
No — this is not a consultation with a dermatologist. No physician-patient relationship is created, and no doctor examines you or your case individually. What you receive is a structured, personalized report generated within a dermatologist-designed system.
Does a dermatologist review my individual report?
No — and we want to be precise about this. The clinical logic, question flow, and source library behind every report were designed and validated by a specialist dermatologist with 15+ years of clinical practice. Individual reports are generated by AI within that framework and are not individually reviewed by a physician.
Why pay $9 when AI chatbots are free?
Free AI chat is genuinely useful, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What the report adds: a clinical framework built and validated by a practicing dermatologist rather than a general-purpose model; a structured, saveable document you can bring to a pharmacy or doctor’s appointment instead of a scrolling chat; built-in red-flag awareness that tells you when your concern needs a doctor, not a product; and complete independence — we sell no products of our own, and no brand can pay to be recommended. And if your concern looks medical rather than cosmetic, the report points you to a dermatologist instead of selling you a routine.
Payment, Refunds & Privacy
Is this a subscription?
No. The Skin Routine Report is a one-time $9 purchase. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, no trial that converts, and no card kept on file. You pay once, you get your report.
What if I’m not satisfied?
Every report comes with a full refund within 7 days — for any reason, no questions asked. A refund link appears on your report page and in your confirmation email; one click returns the full amount to your original payment method. See our Refund Policy.
How do you make money?
Two ways, both disclosed: the $9 report fee, and affiliate links on products recommended inside reports — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. What we don’t do: no brand can pay to be recommended, no sponsorships, no ads, and no affiliate links in our articles. Recommendations are chosen on evidence and fit, never on commission.
Is my data safe?
We collect the minimum needed to generate your report — your text answers, never photos or biometric data. Your answers are processed by our AI provider under GDPR safeguards, used solely to generate your report, and automatically deleted after a short retention period. We never sell your data. Full details, including retention periods and your deletion rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I use this if I’m under 18?
The paid report is available only to adults 18 and over — our system doesn’t accept payment from anyone younger. Our articles are free for anyone to read. If you’re under 18 and worried about your skin, the best first step is talking to a parent and seeing a dermatologist.
